Keyboard Tester

Test external keyboards, mechanical keyboards, multi-key input, and browser keyboard events.

Key Test

Press keys directly after opening the page. Tested keys stay green and currently pressed keys turn blue. On Mac, testing F1-F12 usually requires holding Fn.

Browser detection limits
System shortcuts, Fn layers, some media keys, and power keys may be intercepted by the operating system before the browser receives them. On Mac, F1/F2 and nearby keys are often handled as brightness, volume, or media controls; press Fn + F1-F12, or enable “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” in system keyboard settings. event.code is the physical key position; event.key depends on input method and OS keyboard layout.
