Inventory ABC Analysis

Q: What value should I use for ABC analysis?

Choose a measure that matches the decision, such as annual consumption value or inventory value, and document it. The tool never assumes what a generic Value column means.

Q: How are A, B, and C assigned?

Rows are sorted by positive value. Class A runs through the chosen A cumulative percentage, class B through the chosen B percentage, and remaining included rows are class C.

Q: What happens to zero or invalid values?

They are excluded from the denominator and reported separately so the result cannot silently hide data-quality problems.

Q: Does this spreadsheet leave my browser?

No. Parsing, calculation, persistence, and export happen locally in the browser.

Classify SKUs by cumulative inventory or consumption value with explicit A and B thresholds. Sorting, percentages, exclusions, and classes are calculated deterministically in your browser.

Current limitations

ABC classes describe the chosen value measure; they do not automatically predict demand, service level, or reorder quantities.
Only positive, valid values are included. Missing, invalid, zero, and negative rows are counted separately and require review.
Thresholds are explicit user inputs and are not claimed to be universal policy recommendations.
Browser storage can be cleared or reclaimed, and private browsing may not retain sessions or source files.
